"We dropped Clari for Gong."

TL;DR — KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Clari got dropped for Gong because Gong's AI search was better at pulling context across the full account history, from pre-sales all the way through post. UI and searchability beat brand recognition.
  • Dripify was cut for HeyReach on cost. No drama, clean switch.
  • At Series B with 150+ people, Omnea started using its own platform internally. Sarah's team became their own ICP.

TRANSCRIPT

Q: What tools are you dropping these days?

We recently dropped Dripify for a tool called HeyReach. This was mostly a cost play.

Q: What else have you dropped?

We dropped Clari recently, which was a big project. We were using it on every single one of our calls, but it didn't really have the best AI capabilities for searching across calls — from pre-sales to post. We're now using Gong, which we're very happy with. Better UI, better overall AI capabilities.

Q: What AI capabilities were you looking for?

Searchability. Being able to easily search on a specific account, pull key information from previous calls. I can also see email invites that were sent, which helps me prepare for a call — I know the exact context that was given going in.

Q: Any emotional feedback from the reps about the transition?

Not to sound bad, but I don't think there was too much sadness. There was a lot of excitement about Gong — a lot of our reps had previously used it in other organisations.

Q: What's the last tool you added at Omnea?

Interestingly enough, it's Omnea itself. Now that we're Series B with more than 150 people, we need to start managing our costs better and centralising requests.

You're now your ICP fit. Love that.
